Cat scratches on leather

It's my wife's new car (new to me), but she loves it. We live in a rural area with no cat, dog or any other animals of any kind. We only have this car for her, and it seems to have become a favorite with her, as she's been scratching on it more than normal.

I took a picture, which I thought I'd post here, but I can't remember if I did it right, so I'll just link to my camera roll. I don't mind if you use it as I've seen others do that.

You don't see it, but I got the best angle on that. There's some kind of small white spot right behind the cat. I was thinking it could be cat fur, but it's so dark I'm not sure. I'm hoping to see if I get better pictures, so I'll post that, too.

If you think it's too much, it's fine with me. I'll probably get her to keep doing it until it wears out or gets replaced. I'm sure it won't be a problem if that's what she wants.

It could be cat fur, but I've seen cats that do that on a leather sofa or something. I don't know if cats' fur is sticky or if their claws are coated in something. You'd probably have to get it cleaned to see if it's just cat fur.

There are only so many places I'd go, since my wife drives this car every day. You're right, I'll just use whatever I can.

The next question is how much damage is done. It's only on the bottom of the dash, and only when she's running at a low speed. It's not noticeable, as in it doesn't even scratch on the leather.

If it's a stn, maybe a light cleaning with a light solvent will fix it. If it's a permanent damage, it may require replacement. I'm not sure what the problem is, and I'm not sure what a professional would charge for the repr. It may also depend on what it is, if it's a coat of wax or something.

There's only one spot, but she seems to be scratching on the area of the car behind it more than the rest. It could be just her liking, but I'm thinking it could be a cat mark on a car. I just don't know.

It's not a
